Cochem Castle

Early departure from Trier allowed us to fit in trip down the Moselle Valley, lunch and a visit to Cochem Castle, a medieval castle but almost all of what one now visits is a romantic 19th century reproduction of a medieval castle. None the worse for that. So first a little wander round the town

Then the climb up to the castle. I think most folk went up by bus, but we....

You can only visit by guided tour, which we duly did. It was quite fun
