Sunset Sons

Another not particularly well known act, but one on the up, Sunset Sons have a certain surfer dude element to them. More the a taste of a friend of mine than my own, but was pleased to go with him and see them again as headline act having seen them previously as a support, not least as they were playing at one of my preferred venues, Koko.

Main support came from a somewhat swaggering scouser called Louis Berry playing a pretty traditional rock n roll style, but I did rather like him.

Sunset Sons went down very well with an enthusiastic young audience. They are fine but not very exciting, in the vain of Bastille or Imagine Dragons without quite the punch. But their début album is pretty reasonable and they are clearly on the way to bigger things.
