Divine Comedy

Opening for the Divine Comedy were an eccentric little outfit called Man & the Echo. Intelligent, witty indie. A good pairing with the Divine Comedy 

Eccentric, intelligent witty indie is really Neil Hannon's trademark. The Divine Comedy are certainly an unusual group. The songs are ones where you do benefit from listening to the lyrics and not just the music.

I think it is fair to say the jacket is a one off too.

And the whole band gave the appearance of being great friends. It was an excellent night. But if I was honest I preferred Miles Kane the night before. Nowhere near as intelligent, the songs less sophisticated, but just a bit more rawly exciting.
