I saw that at the Dublin Castle they had a Saturday afternoon gig for a Joy Division tribute act called CTRL. Knowing Luka liked Joy Division, I asked him along, and him knowing his girlfriend liked Joy Division even more, he asked if she could join too. So we all met up at the Dublin Castle for this. Not exactly to my surprise, my friends were youngest people there by at least a quarter century!
The band were good, doing a very passable impression of the sound of the original. It helps that vocals are easier when you are trying to imitate a person who couldn't sing to start with!
Luka hadn't had any real lunch so was starving as we were turned out late afternoon, so I took the couple to a nice modern Indian restaurant (carefully chosen by me, or happened to be a few doors down from the venue - you guess which...)
And then onto the Camden Eye for a pint. But Luka saw dessert on the pub menu - fried mars bar!
I only hope it was more appetising than it looked!
