At last after days and days of grey skies, a beautiful, if very cold, morning. So I took off for another walk up to Oak Hill Park. Journey the same as in previous posts, but now with photos of sun and blue skies.
So first, New River Path near my house.
Broomfield Park
The park's resident grey heron
Arnos Park
Waterfall Walk
East Walk
Came across a Little Egret in the willow - see the white dot in the middle.
And close up with zoom.
And I noticed in the brook one tiny Grey Wagtail
Oak Hill Park - and standing guard at the entrance, another Grey Heron.
The park was packed with crows.
And in reeds another Little Egret. Such a beautiful bird. And possibly a benefit of global warming. When I was a lad this was considered a bird of Southern Europe.
And into the woods....
