After my visit to the Egyptian Museum I met up with Thibault, freshly in from Montpellier, and we set off for a walk down to the river in a damp misty (some might say foggy) Turin. I feel the photos would have looked rather better with a clear blue sky...
Crossing the Po a bit of a climb takes one up to the church of Santa Maria del Monte
After all that we went to a wine bar for glass of wine before dinner at a restaurant specialising in steaks. Nice friendly wine bar so after a generous glass of red and still with a bit of time to kill before dinner I went for a Negroni. Which was both generous and strong.
Then off to the restaurant. A place where you actually see your steak being cut in front of you.
Not unreasonably we split a bottle of wine. I remember an evening pf pleasant conversation and excellent steak.
Then they came out with limoncello in little bottles for us and we got through them all. Apparently. For I only have Thibault's word for this and the photographic evidence. I recall none of it. I don't even recall being sick overnight. But I was. Groan....
