Inhaler at Brixton Academy

This is a gig that I went to on my own. Almost none of my friends had heard of them. Although as they were doing two nights at Brixton Academy, the largest of the theatre style venues in London, they are far from obscure. And I did mistime this - getting there just before doors open but finding by then already the queue to enter was snaking around the entire block. As a consequence, as is evident from photo below, I didn't get my normal spot at the front leaning on the barrier.

Now Inhaler do get a fair bit of general media coverage, but not for their music. The entry to general coverage for them is that the lead singer is Bono's son. So that gives a generalist journalist an "in" for what to write about. I should add, not for me. I don't even like U2. But have a lot of time for Inhaler. They just suit my indie rock taste neatly. Not such that I would go out of my way to see them., But if playing one of my favourite venues, I will always go and see them even if I have to go on my own. And I always end up chatting to someone around me. All good. As were Inhaler!

PS, sorry for less than perfect photos, but see above about not getting my spot at the front!!!
