Localism

Now having to build your day around a visit from a surveyor for loft insulation isn't a feature of a package holiday, but can be if staying with a friend. So this was a fractured day.

Morning walk along the coast at Loctudy. Very pretty.

And after the surveyor, afternoon trip to Manoir de Kerazan. Once owned by the Astor family (but not that Astor family) this stately pile is host to a collection of local artworks from the last couple of centuries. Interesting decor, especially liked the billiard room. We just managed to avoid a coach load of OAPs ahead of us. You would be amazed at how much noise a group of chuntering French geriatrics can make.

While the house is attractive in its own right, it also boasts a vey picturesque farmyard with disused cartwheels  artfully and casually arranged about it. And a rather cool little stretch of water overhung by purple rhodedendrons.
