The Romans built a second Agora, or market place, in Athens as part of Hadrian's expansions of the old city. This has been excavated and one can wander around it, if only as respite from the hustle and bustle of the surrounding area (full of restaurants bars and tourist gift shops).
By far the most interesting edifice is the Temple of The Winds.
One can even go inside this and see the grooves left by the mechanism which would have worked the water clock.
