A triple reason to visit Oxford. The usual one to see my friends there, added to which it was Oxford Open House weekend when various buildings in the city are open to the public, and finally the real reason for this particular weekend, Oxford playing Coventry City.
For the weekend they seemed to be running vintage buses
One of the buildings we visited was Exam Schools, which I hadn't been in since I was doing my law exams there. Much more relaxed this time, and could soak in the grandeur of the place.
Our visit to this little chapel was cut off because a neighbour had died that day, and it would have been a bit unseemly for folk to be tramping past to peer into the chapel.
And finally the match between two struggling sides towards the foot of the table. To my surprise, a win for Coventry. Not really deserved, but a game which could easily have gone either way. What was a surprise is that it heralded the start of a good run for the Sky Blues, somewhat out of the blue on the basis of this performance.
