I hadn't been up to see my friends in Cheshire for a while, and it was nice to do so in summer rather than just my normal Christmas trip. Nice also that I took the opportunity of good pricing to go up first class. A couple of gin and tonics always helps a journey I find.
They had arranged to take me out the Dorothy Clive Garden (no I had never heard of it either ) in the Shropshire/Staffordshire border, which was "built" upon old quarry workings. Even in late smmer, it was lovely.
