Epping Forest

I had hoped this was a walk in Ashridge Forest. But Elaine (my companion and driver) had to get back for a John Lewis delivery, so we did a shorter amble in Epping Forest instead. Not put off by the signs asking for information about a murder in the car park (!), we forged into the woods to Wake Pond

At a distance we caught sight of some deer. They also caught sight of us and clearly didn't like the look of us and duly scarpered

Back home my garden is doing fine
