Brittany - Kerguehennec and Gulf of Morbihan

First day of my week in rural Brittany with my old school friend Phil. And when I say rural, I mean rural - a village without shops. He keeps chickens in the backyard, and behind the chickens it is just fields.

But inside it is still a British home - a suitably patriotic guest bedroom.

This was going to be a week of walks, so first one is a manor house/chateau at Kerguehennec. No entry to the house but the grounds are marvellous. And dotted with modern sculptures. Which are entertaining even if I wouldn't exactly describe them as great art. Or even ordinary art to be honest.

Exhibit one
Exhibit two (which is meant to represent a figure reclining with knees up, head resting on one arm)
Exhibit three - obviously teddy bears scaling a pot, like they do....

Gold nugget supported by more teddy bears. Amusing. In a way.

Quite pleased with myself at capturing this dragonfly!

So that was our morning walk. After lunch we were back out a gain for a walk on part of the very scenic Gulf of Morbihan. Regrettably rather a grey day for taking photos - a bright blue sky would have made all the difference.
