It is rather convenient that two of my best friends, who were also both once my trainees and my lodgers, are now running our Edinburgh office together. So I can go up and visit them. And furthermore, visit them during the Edinburgh Festival, when hotel prices are supposed to be the most expensive in the world. Indeed when I booked my train the app immediately offered me accommodation in a not spectacular hotel at an eye watering £6000 for the period of my stay. Lucky I had invested in the pair of them all those years ago!
I will do a review of my fringe experiences on a separate page, and other pages on the walks and exhibitions I undertook. So take this as just an introduction with random photos as I bobbed about the city. Which is a remarkable place. And with climate change it may even become habitable over winter. Jury is out on that one.
