Santa Chiara

Santa Chiara isn't really all that old. Because it was almost wholly destroyed by allied bombing in the war.

Just the fllors that survived, plus the tombs at the far end.

Along the side of the church the inevitable graffiti. Nothing is sacred. And no pretense that this is street art - its just scrawl.

But its the convent next to the church that makes this worth a visit, especially the cloisters with their majolica columns and seats. Attractive and unusual.
