La Setes, above and below

Metropol Parasol, better known as the mushrooms, is certainly a striking structure. I took a few more photos on a sunnier day than my first visit.










But he main purpose of my trip was to go below them to visit the foundations of the Roman town, on display in a rather pleasant modern museum. It had some good computer graphics along the walkways (ok, not all working), and several nice mosaics. A good example of preservation of ancient monuments in the modern age.

















 Ok, not all the English signage was of the best quality.
