Anniversary Games

I actually went to both days of this event this year, just with different friends. The first day with Alex and his wife Liz the second with an erstwhile trainee, Kamen.

Both days were good and blessed with good weather

 Never easy to take decent athletics photos. More a question of just watching the athletics and enjoying the company. Both Alex and Liz know the sport (Liz's father and uncle were decent printers and Alex runs middle distance).

And after the athletics I took them out to an Italian restaurant for a very nice evening.  Couldn't have wished for a more pleasant day.

After the athletics we found a very cool bar by the canals to have a couple of drinks in and chat. If you leave the stadium at the front to go back to Stratford Station (as most people do) you get all the modern developments. If you go out the back it is all much cooler (ie semi-derelict)
