Coventry v Brentford

My first trip to watch Coventry in exile at their new home in Northampton, on a ridiculously warm autumn Sunday.

Now Northampton could well claim a spot in any list of crap towns in England. With enormous skill I did manage to get one shot that puts in a good light.

The ground is a good 20-30 minutes walk from the station through a retail park. But I quite like these toy stadia. I got a good seat and I must admit is quite nice being in amongst the less committed fans (who are all boycotting the place). Not having someone screaming in you ear for 90 minutes is a plus point!

Unfortunately, the game itself was not. City have made a great start to the season, but chose this game for an off day. We started playing like Arsenal, but without the skills to do so, and finished like Stoke, but without the physical presence to do so.

The scoreboard isn't too eye-catching

One of the subs is going for the "most ginger boy ever to play for the Sky Blues" record
