Palau Guell

My last Gaudi building on my architectural pilgrimage was Palau Guell. This was the palace (well townhouse) built for Gaudi's patron, Count Guell. Its inventive, interesting but not quite as attrative as the other works I have seen. The overtone of grey marble doesn't help. In bits it feels Moorish, in others Gothic and others still a precursor to Art Deco.

Up on the roof more of those trademark Gaudi chimneys
