Up on a hill in the north of Naples is Capodimonte, another lovely spot with art gallery, state rooms and a park. The park is rather disappointing, unless you like your parks to look like a tame forest.
Its a fair climb up, and not well signposted, or indeed well kept.
As I said, not a path well kept. It gets worse than this - the tunnel up front is used by the homeless and is littered with old clothes rubbish and smell of urine. I think its fair to say not many folk are like me and come here on foot.
This is the park. As I say forested, Its full f joggers taking advantage of the long straight paths which for once in this city don't have cars and motorbikes on them.

This is a fairly famous Massacio |

An impressive Caravaggio |
For a short while only we were allowed up to the modern art section on the third floor. Apparently due to staff shortage it could only be opened for a short period, although the staff didn't follow us in, so not sure what the fuss was about. And not much of a modern art collection to see anyway, apart from this Andy Warhol print of Vesuvius.

There are a good number of Titians in the collection like the above. |
