So, my last day in Brittany before a horrendously early start to Rennes and then Paris. I thought it only reasonable to take my hosts out to dinner somewhere nice, which meant going into Vannes. This is an attractive town, or at least town centre. It has a lot of well-preserved medieval buildings, as well as an attractive riverside location.

This was my chosen restaurant, thanks to reviews off TripAdvisor. Basic description was unpretentious but good quality food, and in no way did it disappoint. Definite thumbs up.
But peculiarly French opening times, just 7-9pm. Which meant they only really got one cover in, although the restaurant was full.
Finished up with evening stroll along another set of impressive city walls.
