Kings Cross development - Gasholder Square and Coal Drop Yard

I felt my first attempts at photographing the Kings Cross development, and in particular Gasholder Square, were not quite up to scratch, so I had another go. Two particular challenges - the Gasholders are huge and you can't really get far enough away to encompass their size, and secondly they are really 360 degree objects. You need to feel in the middle. But anyway, here goes starting outside the station itself.

While the two gasholders to the right have been converted into circular towers of apartments, the one on the left has become a small park - with a turfed mound in the middle and a mirrored cloister
surrounding it.

This is the cloister - with mirrored pillars on the inside and a mirrored ceiling punctuated with random little holes. Overall an attractive effect on a sunny day - you have to be there....
