Montreal Old Port

 

Given how painful I was finding walking even short distances, there was a great appeal in being transported about. And being on the mouth of a river and a major port, I jumped (well, limped) at the chance of a long boat trip.

Although this looks like some ingenious winch for the port, actually the structure at the back is holding up the roof for the Montreal Olympic stadium.

There is a rollercoaster amusement park which if I had been in better shape I would have tried out rather than just watching it from the river!
