We did at least get into this little casa, a holiday home overlooking the sea. It basically has no contents and only a nominal fee for entering
The best part is the views from its terrace, including the view back to the Museu Biblioteca Conde Castro Guimaraes (see more below)

The Biblioteca far exceeded expectations, and a good compensation for the Palace being closed. Really interesting hotch potch of styles
Upstairs there is a very attractive if small picture gallery of Portuguese artists.
This dining room was originally an outdoor terrace, which is why there is a little fountain at the end - an outdoor water feature now indoors
