Mount Lavinia

After 10 nights at the Blue Water it was a relief to move on and spend a night at the Mount Lavinia hotel in Colombo. This is a splendid hotel, based on an expanded early 19th century Governor's residence.

So lets do the tour. Clean room with a nice balcony and delightful view.

 Through the hotel...

 and up to the pool which is on a terrace

 And down again and out into the grounds in the front of the hotel.

 Onto the public beach

 This section ids the Governors' Residence

 And then onto the private beach with its bars and restaurants

 Back up at the pool. Another wedding. Who would have thought it.

 A nice sojourn on the terrace watching the sun go down.

 And finally back in my room with a view.
