Highbury Fields are a bit far for me to walk from home, so had to use public transport. Basically I don't mind the trains but don't like the Tube in current climate. The good news is I can get overground to Highbury and so ideal for meeting my mate Bish who had day off and was in Islington. Bad news is that Transport for London isn't good enough to allow for social distancing. All overground trains were out due to some overhead power failure so I was left with only the tube option, and a pretty crowded tube too. And no, not everyone wears masks. And this is not due to confusion over government policy as some people would prefer to believe. It is due to some people being arrogant, stupid twats. Difficult to legislate for....
Anyway, as I say I was meeting up with my mate Bish, and his 12 week old puppy came too. Unfortunately Monty hasn't yet learned that dogs are supposed to like going walkies. He liked being carried. Well to be fair it was wet underfoot.
This walk wasn't really about the walk. This one was the opportunity to have a chat in the open air, given that socializing indoors has been banned. And we had a very pleasant afternoon just shooting the breeze. Although we did walk around a very nice part of London, Highbury Fields and the surrounds. Not much in the way of grand buildings, just high density housing. But built well.
