Oxburgh Hall is a Tudor fortified manor house which was subject to a Victorian makeover to turn it to a more comfortable home. Sadly was here on a slightly drizzly day since its best features are the romantic views of the house across the moat.
One was even encouraged to try the priest's hole. I took one look at it and thought it might suit a slimmer visitor than myself
Within walking distant is this interesting church. You will note its lack of a tower. It used to have one, but it collapsed after the war, taking a fair bit of the church roof with it. Fortunately its by now minuscule congregation could fit into the chancel so it is mostly left as a romantic ruin.
