A basically catholic relics museum would not normally excite, but this is in a fine old building. But we chose to go in the evening of a religious festival in front of the basilica, not that we knew it was happening. We only went in the evening because Zaragoza sticks to siesta time. After lunch everything closes until 5pm .
It took a lot of perseverance to find our way in as the streets and square wee packed. Indeed I feared it was closed. But instead we had the place pretty much to ourselves. As we wandered around towards the end we came across another couple of visitors, but otherwise just ourselves. Wonderful.
