The Botanic Gardens

One learns by one's mistakes. Today we decided to visit the Botanic Gardens. And I decided that given it was a warm and I had brought a pair, I would wear shorts. Big mistake. My legs got bitten to buggery.

And the gardens are really not all that impressive, although to be fair we were probably not going at the best time of year. but they do have an awful lot of bamboo and palm trees which look rather alike.

Honestly the photos flatter the place.

This was an interesting building. Not a greenhouse but a shade house. Full of plants that are happy with the climate but can't take the direct summer sunlight
