Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard

No, the title is not a typo. Its the name of a band. so good they named them thrice.

Actually I had seen this band as a support act a few years ago, then seen they had an album out which I purchased, and saw they were playing the Scala on a night I had free. SO for the princely sum of £12.50 I gained admission.

And embarrassingly I was the first person to arrive. Eerie to have venue to myself. At least no difficulty getting to the front

There was a support act, a group of shouty girls from Cardiff (the main act's hometown) who went under the name of Panic Shack. Didn't mind their first song but quickly realised how tedious an act they were, basically just shouting the same line over and over. And trying to look tough.

This is half of them.

..and this is the other half. One of the drawbacks of being right at the front in the middle with such a tiny gap to the stage is you can't get the whole band in the same photo.

And so onto Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard. Can'r tell you much about them as I don't much. Bunch of young lads from Cardiff playing a pretty retro sound - a rockier version of TRex. Very much harking back to the Seventies. But they sound great, and the lead singer has proper personality and likes prancing about the stage when not playing guitar or keyboard. One of the other band members is his brother but not sure which one as none look desperately like him. But they played their way through their album Backhand Deals very well. Would happily see them again.
