So we had a fine day of sightseeing in taking in both the Brera and the Duomo ahead of schedule after our train journey from Verona, so after a walk through the streets...
...we celebrated our achievement with fine seafood dinner.
Mike left the waiter to fillet his fish at the table.
Can't easily resist a tiramisu. So I didn't.
And then back to our apartment. Now there was an oddity about our airbnb. It was a good enough location, not far from the station. But t was at the back of an apartment block and basically the back rooms, ie living room and back bedroom had no windows, therefore leaving them starved of any natural light. To make up for this in carving out this two bed airbnb, they decided to put in glass floors to the first floor.
Let's just say this took a bit of getting used to. Exacerbated by the bathroom being on the ground floor. First there is the natural unease at walking on glass. Then the slippery nature of the medium if you are in freshly showered bare feet. But mostly it is the lack of privacy. We instituted a "no looking up" policy!
