Evening in Syracuse

Our apartment in Syracuse was much more spacious and agreeable than our one in Taormina. I even got a double bed this time! Although it was in an appalling looking sixties block with holes in plasterwork in the common parts. But the flat itself was lovely and conveniently sited very close to the archaeological park and about 30 minutes walk from the old town. Which is where we headed for light sightseeing and dinner. Mike needed a quiet night after his drive to Etna!

 Dinner on a little side street, small enough not get cars up and down it - small cars seem to fill alleyways that one would think just had to be pedestrian only....
