When I said Frankschhoek only had one tourist attraction I was ignoring the wine tram. Because it is only a method of transport really. But a genius idea. The town is surrounded by wine estates. Which of course you can reach by car. But then you can't drink. So the answer is the wine tram. Supplemented by tram looking buses like this one to take you to the estates that are not on the train line.
So you buy your ticket and you can hop on and off the tram as it goes to the various estates, all of which do wine tastings (and food). Joe and Nat had organised this trip for us all in advance, bought tickets and planned an itinerary.
You couldn't ask for a nicer setting in which to quaff numerous glasses of wine. Hic.
