Blyde Canyon

So now it was just a matter of driving back to Johannesburg airport. But via the Panorama Route. God this was impressive

We stopped at what was little more than a bend in the road which had a viewpoint and a few souvenir shacks. But what a view. And little did I know how much better it would get!

After a little further driving we arrived at a viewpoint over Blyde Canyon, apparently the third largest gorge in the world. My desire to take spectacular photos of the ravishing views had to do battle with my mild vertigo....

And then it was all over. A great trip. And indeed so impressed was I with Viva Safaris that I might well use them again for another holiday. (And no, I am not on commission!😂)
