I think we went to see the lights at the botanical gardens almost as a matter of obligation: they were nearby, we really should do something Christmassy and get out at night for something that wasn't just dinner.
Actually they were well worth the effort and expense. A quite extensive and inventive show. Only slight downside was the cheesy Christmas music. But what could one expect?
