Very pleased with my hotel choice, the Protea Hotel in Frankschhoek. Lovely big bright room, very attentive reception staff and all the rooms looked out on an attractive pool. While I didn't take a plunge I certainly used the sun loungers
Transport was laid on out to the wedding venue which was an absolutely stunning setting.
The little chapel was delightfully bright and airy, at least until the huge glass doors were shut at which point one realised one was in a greenhouse. Fans were handed out!
The ceremony was lovely - totally secular which helped not having to do all the boring religious parts. n fact it wasn't a real wedding at all, Joe and Nat having done the legal ceremony earlier in the year to get rid of the boring formalities. This was just for general enjoyment. A celebration of their union rather than union itself.
A short walk took us to the venue for the dinner
