Very pleased with my hotel choice, the Protea Hotel in Frankschhoek. Lovely big bright room, very attentive reception staff and all the rooms looked out on an attractive pool. While I didn't take a plunge I certainly used the sun loungers

The little chapel was delightfully bright and airy, at least until the huge glass doors were shut at which point one realised one was in a greenhouse, in summer, in a hot country. Fans were handed out!
The ceremony was lovely - totally secular which helped not having to do all the boring religious parts. n fact it wasn't a real wedding at all, Joe and Nat having done the legal ceremony earlier in the year to get rid of the boring formalities. This was just for general enjoyment. A celebration of their union rather than union itself.
A short walk took us to the venue for the dinner
